The steering wheel in question is equipped with an airbag inflator that uses ammonium nitrate, and the compressed gas propellant inside the inflator may have been deformed when the vehicle is exposed to high temperature and humidity for a long period of time. In this case, the front airbag on the driver's side may deploy abnormally during an accident, causing the inflator body to rupture. There is a possibility of coolant leaking inside the exhaust gas recirculation system, and in this case, engine output may be limited or the engine warning light may come on.
