[Important Notice] We have confirmed that two extremely unlikely manufacturing defects co-exist in the same battery cell of a high-voltage battery, and these manufacturing defect conditions occur after the battery has been significantly discharged. Repeated/habitual charging to a fully or nearly fully charged state may worsen battery manufacturing defects, exposing the battery to a potential fire hazard.
1. Until a new recall action plan is released, please change the vehicle's maximum charging capacity to 90%, and change the 'Target Charge Level Option' through the charging option settings in the vehicle.
If the customer is unable to change the settings on their own, they can receive settings change by visiting a Chevrolet Bolt EV service center that can handle recalls.
2. Please recharge the battery as often as possible after driving the vehicle, and avoid allowing the remaining driving range of the battery to fall below 70 miles (approximately 113 km).
3. To prevent any emergency, park the vehicle outdoors immediately after charging. If charging for a long time (overnight charging, etc.), do not block the vehicle while it is charging.

2. Please charge the high-voltage battery as often as possible after driving the vehicle, and avoid allowing the remaining driving range of the high-voltage battery to fall below 70 miles (approximately 113 km).

<※Customer preparations when replacing high-voltage batteries>
1. To ensure rapid high-voltage battery replacement, do not perform high-voltage charging (within the plug) the day before arriving at the service center (within 24 hours). Please.
2. When arriving at the service center, the high-voltage battery must be in a state of charge (SOC) of less than 90%.
3. Recall for high-voltage battery will be carried out by reservation due to limited exchange locations, so please contact GM Korea Customer Center at 080-3000-5000 for the replacement location and date. Please consult.

Recall due to the possibility that the insulation material under the carpet adjacent to the lower part of the B-pillar (pillar between the front and rear seats) may ignite due to the high temperature gas generated when the front seat belt pretensioner is activated. In this case, a fire may occur in the carpet adjacent to the lower part of the B-pillar when the seat belt pretensioner is activated.
