There may be a software error in the power window system, which could lead to a recall due to the possibility that, in certain situations, when the window glass is closing and touches an obstacle, a force greater than the allowable force on the obstacle is applied, or when the window glass reopens, it may not open as much as expected (*This may fail to meet certain requirements of the power window reversal system specified in FMVSS 118S5 [automatic reversal system]).

Due to a wiring path design error, the cable providing the rear camera video, which is mounted on the Model 3 trunk wiring harness, may be damaged when the trunk is opened and closed. As a result, if the trunk lid is repeatedly opened and closed over time, the rear camera cable within the wiring harness may become excessively worn, preventing the rear camera video from being displayed on the center display. This can affect the driver's rear visibility and could potentially lead to a rear-end collision during reversing, prompting a recall.

After inspection, modify the trunk lid wiring harness route or replace it with a new trunk wiring harness 

When the driver uses the AutoSteer feature, the devices that provide sufficient warnings to the driver and limit the function if the driver does not actively participate in driving may be insufficient. In such cases, if the driver misuses the driver assistance function and does not maintain continuous responsibility while driving the vehicle, or fails to recognize whether the feature is activated/deactivated, the risk of collision may increase, leading to a potential recall.

Update to version 2023.44.30 or later via OTA (over-the-air)

1. Apply the option to simplify Autosteer activation and deactivation: Activation and deactivation changed from 2 steps -> 1 step

2. Improved driver monitoring alerts (applies only to Model 3/Y)

 - Increased warning text size and moved warning screen from bottom -> top

3. Autosteer will be disabled for one week if incorrect driver usage is detected

 - Model 3Y (Year: 2019-2023) / SX (Year: 2023) (Interior camera function on): 5 times

 - Model SX (Year: 2017-2020) (Interior camera function off): 3 times

4. Increase driver monitoring when approaching traffic lights using Autosteer in areas that are not highways

If the size of the Brake, Park, and ABS indicator letters on the dashboard is smaller than 3.2mm, drivers may find it difficult to notice when these indicators light up, which could potentially increase the risk of a collision, leading to a recall.
