| Defect details | □ The Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs (Minister: Kwon Do-yeop) announced that manufacturing defects were discovered in 1,085 300C passenger cars imported and sold by Chrysler Korea between `11.3.21 and `11.12.20, and they will voluntarily correct (recall) them. □ This recall is due to the discovery that overheating of wiring related to the ABS (anti-lock brake system) and ESC (attitude stabilization system) in the power distribution device (fuse box) could cause the system to not operate, which could interfere with safe driving. □ Starting June 14, 2012, owners of the vehicle can receive free repairs (rearrangement of wiring within the power distribution device) at the Chrysler Korea Service Center. □ Additionally, if the car owner pays to repair the defect before the manufacturing defect is corrected (recall), he or she can apply for compensation for the repair cost to the Chrysler Korea Co., Ltd. service center. □ In relation to this recall, Chrysler Korea Co., Ltd., the importer, will notify car owners of correction methods by mail.
